The Annual General Assembly of the Federation of International Polo (FIP) convened this year in Buenos Aires, Argentina, bringing together representatives from member countries around the world. The hybrid event allowed participants to join both virtually and in person, emphasizing FIP’s commitment to inclusivity and global engagement.
One of the key outcomes of the assembly was the re-election of Mr. Piero Dillier as FIP president for the 2025–2026 term. Under his leadership, FIP aims to further enhance the growth and accessibility of polo worldwide.
Looking ahead to 2025, the international polo calendar promises to be vibrant, featuring several marquee events:
- The FIP II World Polo Championship at Punta Ala Polo Club in Italy will highlight top-tier competition on a picturesque stage.
- The FIP XV European Championship will take place at Sowienec Polo Club in Poland, celebrating the strength and diversity of European polo.
- The FIP II Arena Polo World Championship is set for Roseland Polo Club in Virginia, United States. Preceding this event, playoff tournaments will be held across five zones: Zone A in Mexico, Zone B in Chile, Zone C in Chantilly, France, Zone D in Australia, and Zone E in Saudi Arabia.
These tournaments reflect FIP’s dedication to fostering polo’s international presence and uniting players and fans across continents. With such a dynamic schedule ahead, the global polo community eagerly anticipates a year of thrilling competition and camaraderie.
