It is with deepest regret that we announce the untimely passing of FIP Ambassador Peter Abisheganaden. He was a passionate and committed advocate of FIP and worked tirelessly to encourage all the Countries in his region to engage in an inclusive program to promote polo, in particular youth , women’s and International polo competition in this significant part of the Polo World.
Peter worked tirelessly, unpaid and inclusively to make a positive difference to the numerous Countries in FIP’s Zone D including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore,Australia , New Zealand , Japan China , Brunei, Phillipines and many others to engage our common goal of bringing young people together to enjoy our great sport and the camaraderie that is the hallmark of polo .
Peter was instrumental in helping to govern the FIP Sydney World Polo Cup as well as many of the South East Asian Games over the years that came under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee.
We send our deepest condolences and love to his family which he was so proud of. He will be sorely missed by all his friends and family and anyone who encountered his affability, simplicity, sense of friendship and generous hospitality, a keen player and a true gentleman of our sport.
