The Zone A Playoff for the II FIP Arena Polo World Championship was held from August 26 to 30, 2025, at Club Las Canchas, Guatemala, with the support of the National Polo Association of Guatemala, the Federación Mexicana de Polo, the CDAG, and the Federation of International Polo (FIP).

In a spirited two-game series, Guatemala triumphed over Mexico, claiming decisive victories 16–9 and 14–10, and earning their place in the World Championship Finals in Virginia, USA (October 5–12, 2025).

  • México: Salvador Briones, Valerio Aguilar, Carlos Hernández. Coach: Valerio Aguilar.

This playoff also marked a milestone for Mexico, as it represented the country’s first official international participation in arena polo, adding a new chapter to its long-established outdoor polo tradition.

Special acknowledgments went to MVP Sebastián Aycinena, Fair Play Carlos Hernández, and Best Playing Pony “Pampa”. Tournament organization was led by Diego Uranga (tournament director & horse master), with international umpire Robin Sánchez officiating.
